About
Improv for Good
COMEDY FOR CHARITY
Improv for Good is a nonprofit troupe dedicated to spreading joy, building connection, and supporting community well-being through improvisational theater.
We perform for audiences who could use a little extra cheer—such as seniors, caregivers, and children facing challenges—and we bring people together through laughter at fundraisers, community events, and inclusive gatherings. All of our shows are unscripted, inspired by audience suggestions, and can be tailored to your group or cause.
On the stage and beyond, we offer:
-
Community Classes that are fun, affordable, and open to all experience levels
-
Monthly Meetups for anyone who wants to play, learn, or simply enjoy improv
-
Applied Improvisation Workshops that use improv techniques to build skills like communication, collaboration, and resilience
-
Performances at Benefit Events to help raise awareness and support meaningful causes
We believe in the healing power of laughter. Research shows that improv can improve mood, reduce stress, and strengthen the mind-body connection. Through playful interaction and creative expression, we aim to uplift individuals and foster a sense of belonging.
Our Troupe
In early 2024, several friends who were doing improv on the Central Coast saw a need to share this dynamic performance artform with underserved communities, and started a troupe called Improv for Good to further the mission of channeling the power of comedy for charitable purposes.
